ESTILL COUNTY, KENTUCKY
The Nolands were pioneers that took the long road across what is now the United States beginning in Virginia and Maryland. As new areas of the country were discovered and opened they moved on to North Carolina, Kentucky and then Missouri. Some went onto Indiana, Colorado, California and Oregon. My particular branch stayed in Jackson County, Missouri.
Their stay in Kentucky, for my branch at least, was in and around Estill County, Kentucky. I will be researching this in the future. A computer white pages check of the area reveals a number of Nolands now living in Estill County, so I will be writing to them.
