Angeline was Smallwood Noland's daughter. One history book indicates that she, S. Noland (presumably Smallwood Noland), Nancy Nolan (presumably her mother, but note that the book spelled it Nolan), Jesse Noland (probably her brother) were the original members of Methodist Church South established in 1835 in Independence. Other founding members were Reuben Wallace and Mary Wallace. I presume this Reuben Wallace is the same Reuben Wallace that is Bess Wallace Truman's grandfather's brother; certainly the time frame makes the connection logical.
I mentioned the spelling variation above primarily to illustrate how difficult it is to track genealogy. Our ancestors did not have typewriters, computers and copiers, and or even dictionaries on hand like we do and spellings vary greatly even among those whom you would think should know.
