According to William Lockett in his Noland genealogy book, Elizabeth Glasscock (also possibly spelled Glascock) was from a prominent family in Richmond County, Virginia. The Glasscocks, apparently, were intermarried with the Ball family of Virginia. Mary Ball of the same Ball family was the mother of President George Washington, an interesting connection to pursue.
